She is a Muay Thai athlete with a record that includes 12 victories, 1 draw and a loss. It's the first time that an American woman has won a Muay Thai title in Thailand. She studied gymnastics jazz tap ballet and horse riding as a child and was a star in softball and volleyball in high schools. Jiujitsu and wrestling are other skills she's taught. She has seven victories with only one loss her MMA. The power and agility she displayed on the mat, coupled with her relaxed style of life and gorgeous appearance have made her a major MMA star. Haywire and Fast & Furious 6' were the two Hollywood blockbuster movies that she appeared in. There was a lot of criticism about how was using her sexual appeal to gain a foothold in her profession. The harsh words didn't affect her optimistic attitude, and she was able to continue receiving praise from her fans.
