Four are born from her father's previous marriage. They lived within Buenos Aires until she was 6 years old. They then moved to the Victoria region in London. Taylor-Joy claims the move to London was traumatizing as she wasn't able to master English so that she could avoid returning to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she had to attend after switching from Northlands. After that, she was enrolled at Queen's Gate School where she studied ballet and acted in school plays. In the year she turned 16 she decided to leave school to follow a full-time career path in acting. Taylor-Joy always knew that her dream was to become an actor. The opportunity came when Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management, offered Taylor-Joy a modelling position.
